Dreamtime is an important event for the KGI community. Held annually in Reconciliation Week, the Richmond and Essendon blockbuster attracts a crowd of 85,000 and over 1 million viewers.
The KGI hosts an annual Dreamtime morning tea and participates in the pre-match Long Walk, in recognition of the activism of Essendon legend Michael Long.
Each year Richmond wears an Indigenous designed guernsey with profits from merchandise sales going to KGI programs.
The KGI community is involved in all aspects of Dreamtime providing an opportunity to apply their leadership skills and grow their experience.
