The Korin Gamadji Institute (KGI) in partnership with Victorian Aboriginal Community Services Association Limited (VACSAL), has officially launched the Korin Gamadji Institute Aboriginal Women’s Employment Program.

The Aboriginal Women’s Employment Program is part of the Employment Start-Up for Indigenous Jobseekers (ESIJ), which is the Victorian Government’s key policy initiative to increase employment and economic participation by Aboriginal Victorians.

The program officially launched on Friday, July 5 and will initially enable 30 Aboriginal women to transition into the workforce.

The program aims to provide meaningful career opportunities and sustainable employment to Aboriginal women who are experiencing disadvantage, or barriers to employment.

In addition to government and community support, the program will also be supported by staff from the KGI and Richmond Football Club, as well as corporate and industry stakeholders.
